TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
This is the detail that matters. TabTrade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.
